The th...

Hi John,

Thanks for your comments... The thing is I have been playing tennis for nearly 15 years and I've only experience this problem twice so far. Both with different racquets the Donnay Pro One Limited Edition Midsized racquet and the Babolat Pure Drive Standard. My question is if it is my stroke mechanics, won't it already show up earlier instead of just now?

Secondly, the pain is primarily felt when I hit a forehand and NOT a backhand. On the contrary I can drive a solid backhand without feeling much pain. Besides laying off, I am also massaging the injured area with ice and deep heat rubs. I believe in my case it is either due to the stiffness of the racquet or the grip size issue which I had with the Babolat Pure Drive.

Somehow, I feel that this might be a different injury, as I have no problem holding a cup or gripping things it is only when I twist and extend my arm that I feel the pain.

Thanks again...

Nawin

Tennis elbow is not cured by laying off for a few ...

Tennis elbow is not cured by laying off for a few weeks.
You need physical therapy.
Ice massage for eight minutes and hand massage after ice.
Stretches specific to the area and weight rehab, followed by stroke analyisis from a ceritfied pro is the only way to go. It worked for me and I use the Donnay Pro One.
It is in your strokes, not the racket. Most likely the backhand , or if the pain is on the inside elbow it is your serve.
