On behalf of the Regentville tennis blog and the entire Regentville condo tennis team, I would like to congratulate Andre for winning his first Filipino Tennis Club (FTC) class B2 singles title for 2007 held at Farrer Park Tennis Center. The Filipino Tennis Club regularly hold 3 tournaments a year with different competing classes that caters for different tennis skill levels. The club was founded by a bunch of Filipino expats who are based here in Singapore. Prior to that, Andre had won two back to back FTC doubles class C event with different team mates, so this hat trick for Andre and his first singles title has shown that Andre is a force to be reckoned with in the singles circuit and cannot be only considered a doubles specialist. Much credit has to be given to Andre as he had come back from a very bad case of tennis elbow that sidelined him for many months. He also had to contend with a very difficult passage to the finals as the Filipino Tennis Club class B2 event this year had a very strong field of players. Andre kept his composure to win his first singles title. Let's hope Andre and the Regentville tennis team can continue bringing more medals to Regentville.
